Senior Research Executive

To strengthen their market research department, our client is looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Market Research Executive. This role will support the day-to-day management of qualitative & quantitative projects from proposal to final presentation and will be responsible for contributing project costs and time schedules into the project budget.

What you’ll do as a Senior Research Executive:

  • Be involved in multiple departments of market research and communications – collaborate from data generations to ensure successful project launch and lifecycle management.
  • Be empowered in your role – use the space you are given and be responsible for shaping the narrative for findings with oversight from the project team.
  • Encourage your curiosity in creating questionnaires and observing focus groups
  • Contribute to analysis, reporting and presentation development with support from the project team
  • Ability to search and recognize potential clients and provide ideas for innovation and concept development.

You’ll have

  • A Bachelors or Master’s degree with at least 1 to 2 years’ research experience
  • Ability to manage projects through to completion
  • Must be able to work in a team, with the supervision of a Senior Researcher or Project Manager
  • Commitment and dedication to get the job done
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be proactive and take initiative to learn more about market research and existing clients’ businesses 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Senior Qualitative Researcher

Committed to doing things differently and improving upon more conservative approaches, this fresh-thinking consultancy is looking for a seasoned qualitative researcher to join their growing team. Their unique value proposition involves taking a proactive approach to identifying issues impacting government, charities, corporations and brands and creating action-based solutions, not verbose reports.

You’ll be joining a team including strategists, behavioural scientists and insights specialists, leading complex projects that directly impact social and marketing outcomes.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ research experience, including some in a consultancy environment – with a qualitative orientation.
  • Previous experience working closely with communications specialists in the media relations, corporate affairs, government relations and/or stakeholder/community relations space or good exposure to this kind of work
  • High end-to-end project management skills (from proposal and tender writing to conducting workshops with senior stakeholders)
  • Strong client engagement and presentations skills
  • Well-honed qualitative research skills
  • Quantitative experience including an ability to transform numbers into insights (others do the analysis and data manipulation) would be beneficial
  • Experience in social and public policy research
  • Stories of successfully working collaboratively in a team
