The role
As a Senior Research Consultant, you will be responsible for consulting and managing the research activities of the company. You will assist in developing a research plan, collecting data, analysing information, deriving strategic insight and presenting research to the clients or respective business executives.

Furthermore, you will act as a point of contact between the company and other stakeholders and keep them updated about the project’s progress. You will also ensure that all the client’s requirements are met, and they are satisfied with the research project. Lastly, you will also use your knowledge and experience to mentor and train the new researchers. 

What you’ll do

  • Supervise and oversee complex research projects from inception to completion
  • Manage client relationships and keep the important stakeholders updated on project progress
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Design questionnaires, surveys and discussion guides to collect data for analysis
  • Manage and coordinate focus groups and in-depth interviews
  • Make reports, proposals and presentations that provide strategic insight for making informed decisions
  • Manage staff involved in programming, data analysis, database set up, coding, and weighting
  • Communicate with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Train, coach and mentor the new researchers and assist them in their career development and growth

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or psychology or other relevant degree
  • At least 5 years’ experience in market research
  • Thorough understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and common office tools
  • Sound understanding of SPSS, Q and other analytical tools
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good to excellent at uncovering and articulating consumer insights
  • Ability to work both in group and independently
