The role
As a Senior Qualitative Consultant, you will oversee and supervise qualitative research projects going on in the company and provide consultancy to the team members to complete projects in a better way and on time while staying within the budget. You will advise the team members in the selection of research methodologies, the development of research and survey questions, the performance of data analysis, interpretation of data and the preparation of reports and recommendations. In brief, you will be responsible for the smooth execution of all the qualitative research projects. 
What you’ll do

  • Advise, supervise, monitor, manage and execute qualitative research going on in the department
  • Develop qualitative research methods, research questions, survey questions, data collection strategies, data analysis techniques and formulate reports to assist clients in making informed decisions
  • Collect data on consumers, competitors and the marketplace and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
  • Advise clients and senior management on how to best use research findings
  • Meet and liaise with clients to negotiate and agree to research projects
  • Expertise in all qualitative research techniques and ability to implement them to create tailored approaches
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with all team members and act as a point of contact between the company and the client
  • Develop extensive guides across a range of issues and qualitative methodologies

Knowledge and experience

  • A minimum of 10–15 years of experience in Market Research
  • Tertiary education in a related discipline
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to give attention to details
  • Ability to multitask and complete projects on time
  • Potential to work independently and also a good team player
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Present and conduct self professionally at all times.
